Rules and Regulations for the competition

In an attempt to guarantee that the vision and mission of the MISS237X contest is well represented in every aspect on and off social media, listed below are a set of rules and regulations put in place to guide and make sure that only the most worthy and deserving, void of any form of bias or favor, is crowned winner.

  1. All contestants are obliged to adhere to all Rules, Regulations and Guidelines of the competition from the casting to the crowning ceremony.
  2. Malpractices of any form are completely unacceptable. If found guilty of any form (cheating, fraud, illegal purchase of likes and retweets or trying to rig the voting system) during the competition, the said contestant shall be disqualified.
  3. In the case of any abnormality resulting from disqualification of a candidate, the situation shall be corrected by a readjustment in the number of those to be evicted for that week and will be communicated.
  4. Every contestant is expected to present a fan base leader (P.R.) prior to the start of the competition through whom any complaints to or from her fans can be channeled. This is the only person who shall be authorized to get in contact with the organizing team for any information or complaint on behalf of the contestant and her fan base.
  5. All contestants are prohibited from dissent, foul language and the use of hate speech throughout the duration of the competition. Culprits shall earn themselves a strike or automatic disqualification depending on the gravity of their offence.
  6. Members of the organizing team and jury under the oath of neutrality must not take part in campaigns or make clear cut statements linking them to any contestant. Defaulters shall immediately be expelled from the team.
  7. Any contestant found guilty of trying to gain favor through any member of the organizing team or jury under the oath of neutrality shall face automatic disqualification.
  8. Contestants are in no way allowed to partake in fan fights. If found guilty, it shall earn them a strike.
  9. In as much as it’s a competition, supporters and their PRs need to drill their fans on the need for respect for other contestants and their fan base as well. Defaulters shall be punished accordingly.
  10. There shall be Bi-weekly tasks: The Eviction Challenge dubbed THE RED CHALLENGE (based on creative and educative themes) which shall run from midday on Mondays to midday on Friday. The Weekend Challenge dubbed THE GREEN CHALLENGE (mainly business and entertainment) which shall run from midday on Fridays to midday on Sundays. Weekly Spaces shall be organized with contestants as co-hosts to discuss topics featured on the weeks’ Red Challenge.
  11. All contestants MUST participate in the respective challenges/tasks following the guidelines provided them. Defaulters shall be punished accordingly. Contestant shall be requested to execute and present tasks in the form of write ups, video presentation and slide show with voiceovers.
  12. Results of both challenges shall be published on Sunday at 8pm CAT. For THE RED CHALLENGE, the jury’s assessment shall carry 30% of the score, while general assessment by fans and the public via paid voting shall make up 70%. For The Green Challenge, the jury shall assess on 70% while the public’s assessment determined via voting (X Ccomments, likes and retweets) shall make up 30% of the total score.
  13. At the end of the week, the contestant with the least score (total from voting and jury put together) in The Red Challenge will be automatically evicted from the contest while the rest shall be rewarded with safe passage into the next week of the competition. The winner of The Green Challenge shall be rewarded with gift prizes and deals from sponsors and well-wishers of the competition.
  14. Bonus points shall be awarded to the best campaign team for every week. These bonus points can be used to wipe out strikes earned or can be added to the total point tally of the contestant for the coming week. The best all-round fan club shall also receive a prize.
  15. Every Monday at 9a.m. members of the public and contestants shall be notified of the number of candidates to be evicted for that week incase there are changes from the usual and also the day meant to host the space for that week.
  16. Any candidate who receives 3 strikes shall automatically be disqualified from the competition.
  17. In case of any eventuality, the organizing team & Jury, led by its president, shall preside over, members of the public and contestants shall be informed of the outcome through a press release on the official MISS237X page.
  18. All prizes won during the competition by contestants and members of public shall be handed over during the crowning ceremony.
  19. All contestants based within the national territory shall be expected to be physically present at the crowning ceremony to collect any prize(s) they won, while contestants out of the country and members of public shall make available a representative at the crowning ceremony through whom their prize(s) shall be handed. Any prize not collected 48hrs after the crowning ceremony shall be confiscated.
  20. If a contestant drops out of MISS237X in the middle of the competition, they may be subject to legal sanctions based on the stage of the competition and the degree of disruption caused. The contestant will be required to cover any financial losses incurred and could face further legal action to ensure compliance with the competition’s regulations. All contestants agree to these terms upon entering the competition.
